2022 Welcome Back Message
Welcome back SuperCom Computer Club!
That statement takes on two meanings in my mind. First, welcome back all SS residents who are members of the club. You are the reason this club exists. A big THANK YOU to all volunteers who make this club function. Second, welcome back to The Club! We haven't seen the club for a while. The last two years have been difficult times for the club with COVID and construction. Now is the time to start rebuilding as we enter into the new season. I believe that we have an opportunity to have a great year!
Who am I? I am Keith Kuchar, the current chair of the SuperCom Computer Club. My background is in education, college math to be specific. Technology influenced my interest in computers. While I have taken a number of computer classes...assembly language, Fortran, GPSS, etc., I believe that “modern” micro-computers, cell phones, and the internet were a major influence in my interests! My first experience with this computer club was in March of 2017. My wife and I bought a unit and “moved in” on March 1st, 2017. My sister-in-law “volunteered” me to give a presentation! I had never been to the club before. It was quite a heart-pounding experience to be on stage in front of a group of people that I did not (yet) know....and I joined the club! During the 2017-2018 season I was asked to join the tech group, and I did. I have volunteered as a tech for the park since then. I was voted in as vice chair in February 2020, and moved to the Chair position on 10/24/22.
Hopefully, this season will be filled with teaching and learning for all of us! Please volunteer to help keep this club great! See you on Fridays at 9am!
